Granola Bars

Nutritious Granola Bars

Serves: 12

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Ingredients;

3 ripe bananas

½ Granny Smith apple, chopped into small pieces

1 cup raisins

1 cup chopped walnuts

½ cup raw sunflower seeds

¼ cup unhulled sesame seeds

1 teaspoon cinnamon or pumpkin spice

2 cups old fashioned oats

Instructions:

Mash bananas to a soft consistency. Add remaining ingredients. Add a small amount of non-dairy milk if needed to ease stirring.

Place parchment paper or silicone baking mat on a 9 x 9 baking pan or glass dish. Pour mixture into baking dish and press to firm consistency.

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Bake mixture for 40 minutes. Remocve from oven and let cool. Cut into bars. Wrap with aluminum foil and place in fridge or freezer.

Makes 12 bars.
