Baked Tofu Bites

Ingredients:

  • Block of Extra Firm Tofu
  • 1:1:1 mixture (by volume) of Corn Starch, Garlic Powder, Poultry Seasoning

Instructions:

  1. Press the excess water out of the tofu using a tofu press.  A typical block of tofu is ` 1-3/4” – 2” thick.  When pressing is complete, the block will be ~ 1-1/4” thick.
  2. First cut the pressed block lengthwise.
  3. Then make ½” thick cuts across the width.
  4. Place the resulting pieces on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
  5. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture on the pieces.
  6. Turn the coated pieces over and sprinkle the seasoning mixture on the other side.
  7. Place the cookie sheet in an oven preheated to 400 degree F and bake for 20 minutes.
  8. Remove the cookie sheet from the oven and turn over each tofu piece.
  9. Return the cookie sheet from the oven and bake at 400 degree F for an additional 20 minutes.
