Whole Food Plant Based and Coronary Artery Disease

WFPB and Coronary Artery Disease

Coronary artery disease is the leading cause of fatal heart attacks.

Nathan Pritikin in the 60’s and 70’s, and Dr Caldwell Esselstyn and Dr Dean Ornish in the 80’s and 90’s have shown that coronary artery disease (CAD) can be prevented and even treated and reversed with dietary intervention. Although, the Pritikin, Esselstyn and Ornish approaches differ slightly –  each approach shares one important focus – a low fat, whole food plant based diet (WFPB).

In fact, a low-fat WFPB diet is the only diet that has been shown to reverse CAD.

The Plantastic Life Resources Page can direct you to experts on WFPB diets and CAD.

I strongly encourage you to investigate the convincing research that shows that a WFPB lifestyle allows individuals to obliterate their CAD. Not control it – OBLITERATE IT!
